How to Choose a Perfect Heater for Your Garage
Choosing the right heater for your garage depends on several factors such as the size of the garage, insulation level, local climate, intended use of the space, and your budget. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you choose the appropriate heater for your garage:
    1. Determine the Size of Your Garage: Measure the dimensions of your garage to determine the square footage. This will help you select a heater with adequate heating capacity.
    2. Consider Insulation: Assess the insulation level of your garage. If your garage is well-insulated, it will retain heat better, requiring a smaller heater. If it's poorly insulated, you'll need a more powerful heater to maintain comfortable temperatures.
    3. Identify Your Heating Needs: Decide how you plan to use the garage. Will you be working in it frequently, or do you just want to keep stored items from freezing? Understanding your heating needs will help you choose the right type and size of heater.
    4. Types of Heaters:
Forced-Air Heaters: These heaters blow air over a heat source, distributing warmth throughout the space quickly. They are effective for large garages but can be noisy.
Radiant Heaters: Radiant heaters emit infrared radiation, which heats objects and people directly rather than heating the air. They are quieter and more energy-efficient but may take longer to warm up the space.
Electric Heaters: Electric heaters are convenient and easy to install. They are suitable for smaller garages but may be costly to operate, especially in areas with high electricity rates.
Propane/Natural Gas Heaters: These heaters are powerful and suitable for larger spaces. They require proper ventilation and regular maintenance but are often more cost-effective to operate compared to electric heaters.
    5. Safety Considerations: Ensure that the heater you choose has built-in safety features such as tip-over protection, overheat protection, and proper ventilation requirements. Safety should be a top priority when selecting a heater, especially for enclosed spaces like a garage.
    6. Budget: Consider your budget for both the initial purchase and ongoing operating costs. While some heaters may have a higher upfront cost, they could be more energy-efficient in the long run, saving you money over time.
    7. Read Reviews and Compare Products: Research different heater models online, read customer reviews, and compare features, efficiency, and reliability before making a decision.
    8. Consult a Professional: If you're unsure about which type or size of heater is best for your garage, consider consulting with a heating professional. They can assess your specific needs and recommend the most suitable option.

  • How to calculate the number of heaters required ?

Coverage area: The reflectors on our short and long body heaters are designed to have the same spread. Even the 3000 and 1500 watt heaters have the same reflector and thus heat spread pattern. The general rule of thumb is the following:
Each heater have an effective heat area of about 4 x 4 meters at a height of between 2.3 and 2.7 meter. When you standing under the heater the coverage area will be 2 meters to each side and about 4 meters to the front
Heaters can be spaced 3 meters apart. This will create a small overlapped area, eliminating shade.

All the heaters are electrically earthed and also rust free due to the use of aluminum and stainless steel. It is as save as a typical light fitting.

  • Why Short Wave Infrared ?

Basically, the shorter the wave ,the more easily it travels through the air,Short wave infrared generates heat by heating the objects it meets with ,without heating the air around it ,Even effective and instant heat without pre-heating.A good example for this mode of action is the effect that occurs when a person walks out of the shade into the sunlight ,Although the ambient temperature remains the same, they feel the temperature as considerably warmer under direct solar radiation

  • What is Infrared ?

Infrared is an energy similar to visible light, but with a longer wavelength.
Infrared energy is invisible to the human eye, however, while visible light energy
is emitted by objects only at a very high temperature,
infrared energy is emitted by all objects at ordinary temperatures.

    faq1

Since thermal imagers sense infrared energy which varies with the temperature of objects in a scene,
the image generated provides a thermal signature of the scene. This image can be displayed on a standard video monitor.
Infrared energy from objects in a scene are focused by optics onto an infrared detector.
The infrared information is then passed to sensor electronics for image processing.
The signal processing circuitry translates the infrared detector data into an image that can be viewed on a standard video monitor.
